Vape Scam Case #2: Paid $420 for Bulk Vapes – Never Shipped

Content:

I want to warn everyone here about a supplier I found through Google.

  • Website looked legit (clean design, bulk pricing)
  • Ordered 200 disposable vapes for $420
  • Paid via PayPal Friends & Family (my mistake)

After payment:

  • Got a tracking number (never updated)
  • Customer service kept saying “in transit”
  • After 10 days → no response at all

Result: Lost $420

Lesson:

If a supplier asks for PayPal F&F, just walk away.

Suggestion: Legitimate vape brands typically support secure online payment methods such as PayPal and credit card payments.

There are so many scammers out there these days—thanks for sharing this. I think it’s something everyone should be aware of.

A scam victim’s case shared on Reddit~!

So basically, I googled for a vape store and got a few store suggestions nearby CyberHub. I texted one of the numbers on WhatsApp to inquire about the range and all. After some negotiation, I decided to buy a vape for 1400 INR. The seller asked me to pay and send a screenshot, promising delivery to my address. I was a bit skeptical and asked if I could pay upon delivery, but he refused. Stupid me, in a hurry, I paid him and shared the screenshot.

About 20 minutes later, I got a call from a different number on WhatsApp, with a profile picture of a delivery guy. He told me he was nearby with the delivery but said I needed to pay an advance of 4500 INR plus 50 INR for the delivery. I quickly refused and he asked me to call the owner. When I did, the owner tried to convince me, saying that business works this way and that vape is illegal, so they have to ensure their safety. I told him I’d rather visit the store, but he said the store was closed until Monday.

I mean, seriously, I can’t believe I got scammed so easily and have no idea what to do now. I hope my story helps you avoid getting scammed like I did. Hehe.
