I bought a 40,000-puff vape, but I’ve only used about half of it so far, and it’s already started tasting burnt. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
This issue is usually caused by the cotton inside the coil not being properly saturated with e-liquid, or the e-liquid running low. When the cotton gets too hot, it burns and produces a burnt taste.
When using a new, unfilled pod or cartridge, make sure to properly prime the coil by letting the e-liquid soak into the cotton for about 3–5 minutes. This helps prevent dry hits and burnt taste as much as possible.
If the e-liquid is running low, refill it promptly to avoid burning the cotton.
If there is still e-liquid in the pod but you experience a burnt taste, it may be due to puffing too frequently or issues with the coil quality, which prevents the e-liquid from properly saturating the cotton, leading to burning.
Additionally, if the device is operating at a power level higher than the coil’s recommended range, the coil may burn after firing. It is recommended to use the device within the coil’s specified wattage range. If your device does not allow power adjustment, it is likely already optimized for the compatible coil, so you can ignore this point.
In short, a burnt taste is caused by insufficient e-liquid supply, which leads to the coil burning.
If your expectations for flavor are not very high and the burnt taste is only slight, you may continue using it after refilling and letting it sit for a while. However, if you have higher standards for taste, it’s better to replace it. If the burnt taste is strong, do not hesitate—replace it immediately, as it cannot be fixed.
P.S. Pre-filled pods should be discarded after use. For refillable ones, discard them once the flavor noticeably deteriorates. Also, avoid accidental firing or unintended power adjustments.
The burnt taste is caused by insufficient e-liquid supply, which results in the atomizer coil burning out. If you aren’t overly particular about flavor—and the burnt taste is only slight—you can continue to refill the tank; after letting it sit for a while, it should still be usable.
I suggest you buy a new one directly, or contact the official website to exchange it for you. These days, most products will be replaced free of charge if there’s a problem.
