JNR Falcon Nexus 40K Puffs – A Hands-On Review

By a guy who’s burned through more coils than he cares to admit

Let me cut straight to it. The disposable vape market is a jungle. Everyone promises 40K puffs, everyone slaps a fancy name on a box, and half of them die on you three days in. So when the JNR Falcon Nexus landed on my desk, I was skeptical. But after two weeks of real-world use – chain vaping, forgetting to charge it, testing every possible dumb scenario – here’s my unfiltered take.

First Impressions: It’s Not Just Another Brick

Pull it out of the box. First thing you notice? The Falcon theme isn’t just cheap sticker work. The power display screen is actually crisp, and the bird graphic has a subtle texture that doesn’t scream “I bought this at a gas station at 2 AM.” Dimensions: 48*27*102mm – fits comfortably in a jeans coin pocket or between two fingers without feeling like a flashlight.

But here’s where it gets interesting. It’s a refillable pod system disguised as a disposable. The tank is transparent and removable. You get two 10ml nic salt bottles in the kit. And the pre-filled 2ml pod is TPD-compliant (2% nicotine). That means no throwing away a whole device when the juice runs low – just pop in a new pod or refill the empty tank.

The Day-to-Day Experience

Battery Life (1000mAh)

Let’s be honest. 1000mAh isn’t massive. VAPEPIE PRO packs 1100mAh. But here’s the thing – the Falcon Nexus charges via USB-C and goes from dead to full in about 45 minutes. I’m a heavy user (former pack-a-day smoker), and I got through a full workday plus evening on one charge. The battery display screen saves you from that panic moment when you’re out and it suddenly dies – you see it coming.

Real talk: If you chain vape nonstop for hours, keep a power bank nearby. But for normal humans? It’s fine.

The Dual 1.2Ω Mesh Coils

This is the secret sauce. Two 1.2-ohm mesh coils working together. What does that mean in plain English? Flavor consistency that doesn’t fall off a cliff after a week. I’ve tested maybe 30+ disposables over the last year, and most start tasting like burnt socks around the 60% mark. The Falcon Nexus held up. I’m on day 12 now, still getting clean hits. The mesh design gives you that dense, warm vapor without needing to suck a golf ball through a garden hose.

Refillable & Removable Pod – The Game Changer

Here’s why I actually like this system. You get an empty transparent tank + two 10ml juice bottles. That’s 20ml total liquid, plus the 2ml pre-filled pod. You can see exactly how much juice is left – no more guessing or dry hits. And when you finish a bottle? Buy another 10ml, refill, keep going. The pod itself is designed to last multiple refills. The device doesn’t become e-waste after 40K puffs – you replace the pod, not the battery.

Compared to the VAPEPIE PRO 40000 (25ml fixed tank, 50mg/ml nicotine, 0.55Ω coil), the Falcon Nexus is more flexible but requires slightly more effort. The VAPEPIE is a true disposable – use it, toss it. The Falcon is a hybrid. You refill. Some people love that. Some people just want to open a box and forget about maintenance.

Nicotine & TPD Certification

2% (20mg) nicotine. That’s European standard. The VAPEPIE PRO runs 5% (50mg), which is harsh for non-heavy smokers. If you’re coming from cigs, 2% is smooth – gives you the throat hit without making your head spin. TPD certification means it’s passed safety checks. No mystery metals or leaky death traps.

Flavors – The Good and the Meh

Available 10+ flavors. I tested five:

  • Mixed Berries – legit tartness, not candy-sweet. Top tier.
  • Black Dragon Ice – think blackcurrant + menthol. Refreshing without freezing your lungs.
  • Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava – tropical but balanced. No one note dominates.
  • Love 66 – floral? Hard to describe. Very * JNR signature. Try it if you’re bored of fruit.
  • Mr Blue – blue raspberry with a cool finish. Solid all-day vape.

What’s missing? No tobacco flavor. No straight mint (only iced fruits). And the “Summer Peach Ice” was a bit muted – needed more peach punch.

Airflow & Draw

RDTL (restricted direct to lung). Not tight like a cigarette, not wide open like a sub-ohm tank. The curved mouthpiece is actually comfortable – no lip burn even during long sessions. Draw resistance is medium. You can’t adjust airflow like on the VAPEPIE PRO (which has three modes: ECO, STD, GTR). That’s a downside. If you like switching from tight MTL to cloudy DTL, look elsewhere.

Pros & Cons (Real Talk)

Pros

  • Long-term value – refillable pod + replaceable coils (implied) means you’re not buying a new device every two weeks.
  • Transparent tank – no dry hits. Ever. I forgot to check once, still had 1ml left.
  • Flavor stays consistent – dual mesh coils pull their weight. Even after 3,000+ puffs, no drop-off.
  • TPD compliant + 2% nic – safe, balanced, won’t make you nic-sick.
  • Compact size – fits anywhere. The Falcon screen is actually useful, not a gimmick.
  • Two 10ml bottles included – you’re set for weeks out of the box.

Cons

  • No adjustable airflow – what you get is what you get. RDTL purists only.
  • 1000mAh < 1100mAh (VAPEPIE) – not a huge gap, but the competition has more juice.
  • Flavor lineup lacks tobacco/straight mint – if you hate fruit or ice, you’re out of luck.
  • Refilling takes 30 seconds – some people want zero effort. This isn’t that.
  • Coil lifespan unclear – JNR doesn’t specify how many refills before the 1.2Ω coils die. I’m at 4 refills, still fine, but your mileage may vary.

Comparison: JNR Falcon Nexus vs. VAPEPIE PRO 40000

Feature JNR Falcon Nexus VAPEPIE PRO 40000
Style Refillable pod + disposable hybrid True disposable
Liquid capacity 2ml pre-filled + 20ml bottles (refillable) 25ml fixed tank
Nicotine 2% (20mg) – TPD 5% (50mg) – strong
Battery 1000mAh 1100mAh
Coils Dual 1.2Ω mesh Dual 0.55Ω mesh
Airflow Fixed RDTL Adjustable (ECO/STD/GTR)
Display Power & battery level Power & e-liquid level
Refill required? Yes (after pre-filled pod) No
Best for EU vapers, flavor chasers, cost-conscious Cloud chasers, high-nic users, lazy days

Verdict: The VAPEPIE PRO 40000 hits harder, holds more juice, and gives you airflow control. But the Falcon Nexus is more sustainable, has better coil longevity (1.2Ω runs cooler, less burn), and won’t get you pulled over by TPD cops.

Who Is This For?

Recommended for:

  • Intermediate vapers who are tired of disposables but don’t want a full rebuildable setup.
  • Travelers – easy to refill, TPD legal in Europe, no leaky tanks in your bag.
  • Flavor-first people – dual mesh + 2% nic delivers clean, layered taste.
  • Budget-conscious – one kit + cheap 10ml bottles = cheaper than buying 40K puff disposables every month.

Not for:

  • High-nic addicts – 2% won’t satisfy a 5% user. Look at VAPEPIE or salt nic mods.
  • Cloud competitors – this is flavor, not fog machine.
  • Zero-maintenance vapers – you will have to refill. Accept it or move on.

Final Score: 8.2/10

Overall: The JNR Falcon Nexus 40K Puffs isn’t trying to be another disposable. It’s a smart hybrid that respects both your wallet and the environment. You lose adjustable airflow and some battery capacity compared to the VAPEPIE PRO, but you gain transparency, TPD compliance, and coil life that actually lasts. If you’re okay with refilling every few days and you value clean flavor over brain-rattling nicotine, this is one of the better 40K “puff” devices I’ve tested in 2024.

Just don’t lose the filling bottle cap. Trust me on that.

Tested over 14 days. Approximately 3,200 puffs logged. Ambient temperature 22°C. No affiliate links, no free product promises – just a guy who vapes too much.

Battery life is reliable. I get through a full day easily, and the screen showing battery level is actually useful—not just for looks.

I’ve been using the Falcon Nexus for about a week now, and honestly it feels like a smarter version of a disposable. The refill bottles make a big difference.
