Can I bring a disposable vape on a plane?

I’m traveling soon and want to know if I’m allowed to bring my disposable vape on the plane. Also, what should I expect at airport security? Will I need to take it out during screening?

It’s generally fine to bring them on a plane, but using them on the aircraft or at the airport is illegal. According to American Airlines (AA) safety guidelines, charging them using the aircraft’s power outlets is also prohibited due to potential fire risks.

The last time a friend and I flew with our e-cigarettes, we weren’t asked any questions. It really just depends on where you’re going—every country is different!

Yes, you may bring it with you. However, it must be placed in your carry-on luggage. The type of battery found in e-cigarettes is not permitted in checked baggage.

Opinions on this matter vary; two years ago, they allowed me to carry an e-cigarette onto the plane—though it couldn’t be checked as luggage—but now, all the information I see indicates that it is strictly prohibited.
